Using the Right Word: eminent, imminent, emanate

Eminent means "prominent, conspicuous, or famous"; imminent means "ready or threatening to happen"; emanate is a verb meaning "something coming from a particular source."

Several eminent CEO's will be flying in for the meeting. A merger of the companies is imminent.
